The international law firm of Le-Boeuf, Lamb has opened an office in Moscow because many multinational companies are concluding significant transactions in the Soviet Union, said Ralph Mabey, managing partner in the firm's Salt Lake office.

Mabey said LeBoeuf's experts believe the Soviets are putting an ever-increasing emphasis on foreign investment and have taken significant steps during the past year to improve the legal environment for such investments."If LeBoeuf's Soviet practice, which continues to expand dramatically, is any yardstick, many multinationals are actively considering investments in the Soviet Union," Mabey said.
