One of the nation's largest high school track meets takes place this weekend at the 78th BYU/First Security Bank Invitational. More than 3,500 athletes from Utah and surrounding states are expected. Utah's 1-A and 2-A schools were to compete Friday, while the 3-A and 4-A schools have events on Saturday. Heptathlon and decathlon competition, combined for all the schools, is spread over both days.

Defending champions are Park City and Brighton for the boys and North Sevier and Mountain View for the girls.
