Helen P. Vance, age 79, died April 29, 1991 in Kanab, Utah of natural causes.

She was born October 15, 1911 in Kanab, Utah, the daughter of Leonard B. and Luvina Swapp Pugh. She married C. H. "Herb" Vance, May 18, 1930 in Richfield, Utah. Mrs. Vance spent many years in Provo, where she was active in the Republican Party and other civic affairs. She was an avid gardener and home decorator for which she received numerous honors. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Valley Chapter No. 3, Provo, Utah.Survived by her son, Dan and his wife, Julie, Glendale, Arizona; one sister, Theresa Owen, Kanab; three brothers, Lloyd Pugh and Vance Pugh, Kanab; Ralph Pugh, Orem; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, May 4, 1991 at 11 a.m. at Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab, where friends may call Friday from 7-8 p.m. and prior to services on Saturday. Burial: Kanab City Cemetery.
