The Utah Council of the Blind will hold its annual convention Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, at the Holiday Inn in Salt Lake City.
The conference, which starts at 9 a.m. each day, will feature discussions of stress management, and updates on low-vision services and library services, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, eye care, gardening and election of new officers.Richard Normann, University of Utah Biomedical Engineering, will also discuss "The Artificial Eye."
Daily sessions are $6 in advance and $7 at the door and all sessions include lunch. The banquet is $8.50 in advance and $9.50 at the door. For more information, call Leslie at 292-1156 or Jack at 392-7913.
