The grand opening of the Jubilee Home for families of critical care hospital patients has been scheduled for Saturday, May 4, with public tours scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A recognition dinner will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel at 6:30 p.m.. The public is invited and the cost is $15. For reservations call 634-4512.Located at the corner of 400 East and 500 South, the residence has six bedrooms and is expected to provide more than 2,900 family-service hours each year. The facility is owned by the Dixie Health Care Foundation, and will primarily serve families from Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

Funds for the project were raised by civic organizations, service clubs, campaigns and through private donations.

The "Buy a Brick, Build a Dream" campaign was launched in September 1990, and more than 400 donors have purchased nameplate bricks for $100 each, generating nearly $50,000 in donations.

Dixie Health Care Foundation hopes to raise a total of $300,000. Design and construction of the home required $200,000, the other $100,000 endowment is needed to operate and maintain the home.
