The head of the Guatemalan Social Democratic Party was shot to death in front of her home by gunmen who fled on a motorcycle, police said Tuesday.

Dinora Perez, 28, former labor leader and candidate for the Guatemalan Congress in November 1990 elections, was shot as she got out of her car in front of her house late Monday, police said.Two men fled on a motorcycle after the killing, police said, but added that investigators had no more leads.
