Ralph Henry Florin, 75, passed away after a brave fight with cancer, April 28, 1991 at his home.
Born June 13, 1915 in Thompson Falls, Montana. Grew up in Spokane, Washington. He was proud to be a graduate of Gonzaga Catholic High School. He moved to Utah to work and married Angelinia Bondi on February 17, 1942; she preceded him in death after 41 years of marriage. Served his country during World War II in the jungles of Burma, India. Married Edith Angeli Sowards December 17, 1983. Member of the 49'ers Club and a faithful member of the Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing, sports, Wendover trips and was an avid Jazz fan. Worked for Manwill Plumbing for over 20 years. He was a retired member of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitters Local 19.Survived by wife; sons, Henry Florin, Mickey Florin; daughter, JoAnn Twisdale; five grandchildren; sister, Ester Keating.
A generous and gentle man, was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 715 West 300 North. Vigil Service with Rosary will be held Wednesday 7 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Wednesday 6-7 p.m. Committal Service, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
