Jennie Camille Erickson Kearns, age 88, passed away of natural causes, April 29, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born February 9, 1903, Springville, Utah, the daughter of Carl Wilhelm and Anna Hansen Erickson. Married John Arthur Kearns, December 31, 1926, in Springville; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 12, 1968. While raising her young family, Jennie was very active in many community organizations, as well as her church. She held the presidency of the Ladies Literary Club from 1972-1973; was the president of the University of Mothers in the early '70's; was Relief Society president in the Douglas Ward and taught a literature class in that same ward for a number of years. She was an Honorary Member of the Ladies Literary Club, a very prestigious honor. She also served on the Stake Board in the LDS Church in the Northwest and served with humility and love in all these positions.She will be greatly missed by her family and is survived by her children, Russell Kearns, Los Angeles, California; Jay Kearns, Boise, Idaho; and Diane Kearns, Salt Lake City; brother, Orlando Erickson, Murray; and sister, Amanda Binks, Mapleton.

Funeral services will be held Thurday, May 2, 12 noon, in the Douglas Ward, 721 South 1200 East, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, under direction of Larkin Mortuary.
