Norma McDonald Beardall, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, age 73, died April 26, 1991 in a Provo hospital.

Norma was born in Heber City, Utah on September 5, 1917, to James X. and Effie Jolley McDonald. She was educated in the Salt Lake schools, graduating from Granite High School. Norma was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in various positions in the wards in which she lived. Norma was currently a member of the Salt Lake 14th Ward. In 1975-76, she served in the Tennessee Nashville LDS Mission. In 1943, she married Grandville Kline Hershey, Jr. They were later divorced. In 1948, she married Walter Beardall, they were later divorced. Norma was employed by the Utah Oil Company, the Apartment Association of Utah, and Intercare Insurance. Norma's warm, generous personality, genuine love and concern, cheerful, optimistic attitude, and willingness to help and serve other people made her a valued friend to all who knew her. She defended the truths she believed in, and led her family in righteousness. She will be deeply missed. She was devoted to her family. We love you, Mom. Norma deeply loved the people of Manti, Utah.She is survived by a daughter and son, Marsha Ann Larson and husband Larry, Sandy; James McDonald Beardall and wife Roxanne, Littleton, CO; nine grandchildren; sister, Donna Aposhian, Salt Lake City; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loved mother and father; sister, Nedra Thornton; and brother, James M. McDonald.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 1991, at 11:00 A.M. in the Salt Lake 14th LDS Ward Chapel 142 West 200 North. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 6:30 -8:30 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 A.M. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. in the Manti City Cemetery.
