Marion Eugene Lauritzen, 93, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home, April 26, 1991.

He was born January 13, 1898 in Victor, Idaho, a son of John and Mary Elva Hatch Lauritzen. He married his sweetheart, Gertrude Daniels, September 21, 1927 in Driggs, Idaho, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions; Teacher, Elder's Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader and Ward Clerk. He was a faithful home teacher and was also in charge of having sacrament meeting at a nearby rest home. He loved doing temple work and was a Salt Lake Temple Ordinance Worker. His testimony, his untiring service in the gospel and his love touched the lives of a great many people. He was a rancher and master carpenter. He worked hard and took good care of his family.He is survived by his wife, and six children, Donna Lauritzen, Salt Lake; Emma Jean and husband, Larry VanDetta, Sandy; Myrna Fay and husband, Max Sluga, Bennion; Terrill Eugene and wife, Nancy Lauritzen, Taylorsville; John Delos and wife, MaryBeth Lauritzen, Taylorsville; Philip Wayne and wife, Rowena Lauritzen, Camas, Wash.; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren. The influence of his greatness, his wisdom and love has been given to each of us and is part of our lives.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 30, 1991, 11 a.m. in the Salt Lake 10th Ward, 800 East 400 South. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
