Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Louis Dwane Tidwell, age 65, passed away April 25, 1991 as a result of an accident at work.

Born March 4, 1926 in Nephi, Utah, to Frank Vernon and Letha Isabell Sperry Tidwell. Married Ardys Blackburn, December 27, 1945 in the Manti LDS Temple. Owner of Louis D. Tidwell and Sons Trucking for over 40 years. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in many leadership and teaching positions. Served in the Bishopric and High Council, was an excellent and sincere speaker. He had a beautiful tenor singing voice and loved singing duets with his wife at countless funerals, church functions, and activities. Served in World War II in the Army and Merchant Marines, was a decorated sharp shooter. He was Mayor of Nephi City from 1962-1966. He loved his family above all and anjoyed being with them camping, vacationing and having fun.Survived by his wife, of Nephi; four sons, two daughters, Louis Creig, Bryant Evan and wife, Anna, Brad B and wife, Carla, Kerry Dwane and wife, Karen, Mrs. Brad (Patricia) Jenkins, Mrs. Jeff (Tammy) Anderson, all of Nephi, Utah; 21 grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, Charles F. and William R. Tidwell, both of Clearfield; Wallace K. Tidwell, Magna; Michael L. Tidwell, Woods Cross; Mrs. Earl (Donna) Chapman, Nephi; Mrs. Michael (Marcia) Jarrett, Orem. Preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Glenn Anderson, brother, Fred and sister, Alean.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 1991 in the LDS Nephi 2nd Ward, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
