Clifford Cottrell Blamires, 75, passed away Thursday, April 25, 1991 at his home.
He was born December 2, 1915 in Kaysville, Utah, a son of George L. and Alberta Cottrell Blamires. He married Kathleen O'Neil December 9, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Davis High School. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Italian Campaign. He was a member of the Kaysville 9th LDS Ward, serving as ward clerk and Elders Quorum secretary. He served as one of the Seven Presidents of the Seventies for the Stake and also served several stake missions. He was an ordinance worker at the Ogden LDS Temple for 13 years.He is survived by his wife, Kaysville; one daughter and two sons, Jeneil B. and husband Richard B. Johns, Elberta, Utah; Kent C. and wife Gayle Drury Blamires, Ogden; Kevin O. and wife Debra Johnson Blamires, Kaysville; 16 grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Herman, Kaysville; James, Tulsa, Okla.; Melvin, Farmington; Vernon, Lehi; Alice Smith, Ogden; Verna Vance, Kaysville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Faulkner.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Kaysville East Stake Center, with Bishop Stephen K. Thompson officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
