Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Golden Sevell Hammer, passed away April 24, 1991 of heart failure. He was 73 years of age.

Born June 16, 1917 in Holbrook, Idaho to Louis Mathias and Chloe Iretta Marble Hammer. When he was four-years-old, his family moved to Brigham City, Utah, where he spent his early life. He married Bonita Mae Jardine in Burley, Idaho September 16, 1935; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was a member of the LDS Church, a high priest in the Garden Heights Ward. Golden drove for Salt Lake and Tooele stages for seven years. He also was a long line driver for Garrett Freight Lines 30 years. He enjoyed five years as a Snowbird in St. George, which he loved.

Survived by wife; four children, Mrs. Jodie (LaRee) Hoyt, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lynn (Rozanne) Ellis, Duchsne; Mrs. David (Carol) Campbell; son, Steven and wife Karen, Sandy; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; sisters, Iretta May, Brigham; Mrs. Shelby (Blanche) Cornet, Mrs. Darlene Cheney, Violet Campbell, Mrs. Farrell (Dorothia) Deardon, all of Ogden; Mrs. Phil (Jeanette) Peterson, Roy. Preceded in death by parents; son, William Louis Hammer; and brother, Louis Hammer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 1991, 12 noon, at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 7800 South 3115 East. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East, and at Mountain View one hour prior to service. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
