Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ivie Taylor Ottley, 94, passed away at her daughters home, April 25, 1991.
Born July 27, 1896, in New Harmony, Utah, a daughter of E. Llewellyn and Sophia Parker Taylor. When she was two, her family moved to Logan and then to Idaho. She married Leonard P. Ottley, July 12, 1923, in the Logan LDS Temple; he died October 31, 1975. She was a graduate of Albion State Normal School in Idaho. Previous to her marriage she taught school in Elba and St. Anthony, Idaho. She also taught in Carlin, Nevada during World War II. She had a sincere belief in her church and exemplified this in her deeds. She held numerous ward and stake executive positions. She loved serving as an organist and teacher in all church organizations. She was a member of the South Weber Fifth LDS Ward. Member Phillips Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Kaysville, Utah.She is the mother of three daughters, Mrs. Farrell (Maxine) Humphreys, South Weber; Mrs. Gary (Renae) Paxman, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Jess (Ruth) Wright, Kaysville; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m., Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, where friends may call Sunday, 6-7 p.m. and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery.
