A Salt Lake woman remained in critical condition Tuesday with injuries she suffered during a weekend altercation.
Sheron June Franenburg, 45, was in critical condition in the intensive care unit at LDS Hospital, a spokeswoman said. Franenburg was cut across the throat from ear to ear. The cut was between 1 and 2 inches deep, a police report stated.Salt Lake police were still trying to reconstruct the events that led to the slashing Saturday. People who were in the apartment at the time say they did not see or hear what took place. The victim has been unable to recall many details.
Franenburg had returned to an apartment at 722 W. 400 North Saturday morning. She was apparently attacked about 3:45 a.m. Officers found blood inside the apartment and a trail of blood leading to an apartment downstairs, where she went to ask for help.
