Harold William Meyerhoffer, 77, died April 22, 1971 at his home in West Valley City after a valiant battle with cancer.Born June 30, 1913 in South Salt Lake City to Albert Godfrey and Mary May Bean Meyerhoffer. Married Dorothy Koopman January 6, 1933 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1953. He and his companion Dorothy were married for 58 years. Worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. for 34 years as a master cabinet builder. Harold lived in South Salt Lake until 1976. He was the grandfather of the neighborhood. He was an avid sportsman and amateur farmer. Active member of the LDS Church. Scoutmaster in the South Gate Ward.

Survived by his wife Dorothy; children, Mrs. Clifford (Ila Rae) Jackson, Halfway, Oregon; H. Russell Meyerhoffer; Mrs. Kay J. (Merrilie) Johnson, West Jordan; Mrs. Glen L. (Caroleen) Atkinson and John W. Meyerhoffer, both West Valley City; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Callahan. Preceded in death by a daughter, Dorold Kae Capson, grandson Brian Atkinson, brother, Ray Meyerhoffer.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 1991 at 2 p.m., Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, where firends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
