Mary Elvina Kempton Dart, age 88, died April 21, 1991 in Price, Utah.

She was born March 19, 1903 in Safford, Arizona to Martin and Sena Lenore Peterson Kempton. She married Bert Lincoln Dart November 3, 1931, in Salt Lake City; he died August 1, 1976. She graduated from the LDS School of Nursing and worked in hospitals in California, Arizona and Utah. She was Evening Supervisor at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. She was active in the community as an instructor in the L.V.N.; president of the Red Cross; president of the Library Board; Girl Scout leader and den mother in Price. These activities were recognized when she was named First Lady of the Year of Price in 1950-1951.She is survived by two daughters and one son, Mrs. William (Mary) Sipes, Canyon Country, California; Ann Macdonald, Price; a son, Bert L. Dart, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 1991 at 3 p.m. in the Price 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 545 East 400 No., Price. Friends may call Thursday evening 7-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 So., Price; and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment Price City Cemetery, under the direction of Berg Mortuary.
