Helen May Stoddard Atkinson, 84, died April 21, 1991, in Bountiful, Utah.

Born May 13, 1906 at Gering, Nebraska the daughter of Royal Roselvo and Daisy Von Tillman Stoddard. Married Frank Marshall Atkinson on August 4, 1923 at Torrington, Wyoming. They lived in Colorado and New Mexico prior to Frank's death on February 4, 1936 at Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked as a bookkeeper and clerk in Michigan for 12 years. Member of Auxiliary of the VFW in Ypsilanti, Michigan; past-chaplain, secretary and trustee. Life member of VFW National Home at Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Helen moved to Salt Lake City in 1957. A convert and active member of the LDS Church. Served a stake mission in the Temple View Stake, Salt Lake; genealogical worker volunteering as an aid for seven years in Welsh Genealogy; a teacher in Genealogy, Sunday School, Relief Society and MIA; and a work director in Relief Society.Survived by sons, John E., Jackson, Michigan; David M., Willis, Michigan; Thomas H., Spring Lake, Michigan; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon, Brownsville, Oregon.

Funeral services Wednesday, April 24th, at 11 a.m., at the 17th Ward, 142 West 200 North. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday evening 6 to 7 p.m., and at the Ward on Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment in Sandy, Utah at the Larkin Sunset Gardens.
