Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Nellie Norton Corbin, passed away peacefully April 18, 1991.
Born June 5, 1913 in Escalante, Utah to Andrew L. and Martha E. Norton. Married Clyde L. Corbin November 18, 1931; solemnized June 18, 1980. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and worked diligently for many, many years, always with children at heart. Loving to serve, her membership and leadership in many organizations throughout her life provided many rich experiences and great satisfaction to her. Most recently, she was involved with the American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Railroad Auxiliary and Senior Citizens' Center. She willingly and lovingly gave her all to the things she held most dear. Her dedication and selfless efforts will always provide an example to all of us. A choice spirit, loved by all who knew her, she will be truly missed. She was a lady.Survived by sons and daughter, Carl L., Corey B., and Caron C. Eagle, all Salt Lake City; Colin L., Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Twila Keller, Miriam (Mickey) Cederlof and Angeline Ahlstrom; in-laws, Joe and Betty Helm, William and Fae Bonner, Gerald Keller and Ernest Ahlstrom; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 1991, 12 noon, at the 33rd Ward, 453 South 1100 Eat. Friends may call at MacKay Colonial Mortuary, 2128 South State, Monday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Tuesday, one hour prior to services. She will be buried with her husband and son, Terry, in Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
