Snow-covered branches and slushy ground didn't dampen the spirits of "Walk America" participant, who trooped 15 kilometers to raise money for the March of Dimes annual walkathon. Saturday morning's snowstorm had a more serious effect on motorists -- Utah Highway Patrol troopers spent most of the morning mopping up 70 to 100 single-car accidents throughout the valley. "It was total chaos for a while," said Sgt. Ken Betterton. The storm dumped more than a foot of snow in the mountains and up to 8 inches on the valley floor, according to the National Weather Service. Sunday is expected to be a warmer, with a high of 52 degrees in Salt Lake City.
