Salt Lake police investigate a two-car accident at the intersection of 200 South and 900 East. A passenger in an Oldsmobile was taken to University Hospital following the accident at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The man, whose name has not been released, is in critical condition after sustaining multiple head injuries when he slammed into the windshield. Police say the two cars collided when the black Subaru stopped at a red light on 200 South and was struck in the rear by the Oldsmobile, which was traveling east on 200 South. The driver of the Oldsmobile was injured slightly upon impact with the car's steering wheel. The passenger and driver were not wearing seat belts, according to Sgt. Stan Gibson. The driver of the Subaru was uninjured.
