Van Dee Covington, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, age 64, passed away April 17, 1991, in a Salt Lake hospital of heart failure.

Born January 5, 1927, in Torrey, Utah to Daniel N. and Leona Heath Covington. Married Dixie Vee Morgan February 12, 1950, Elko, Nevada. Veteran, World War II, U.S. Navy. Mechanic, Rick Warner Ford. Former employee of the Granite and Monarch Meat Companies. Avid golfer, bowler, and outdoorsman. Member of the LDS Church.Survivors: Wife, Salt Lake City; sons, Van M., Troy D. and wife, Mary Ann, Shaun O. and wife, Lisa, all Salt Lake City; three grandchildren; brother, Claron D., South Weber; sister, Velma Read, Granger.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 12 noon, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, where friends may call Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
