Florence "Flossie" Gertrude Anderson Ramsdell, 92, died Tuesday, April 16, 1991 at the Box Elder County Nursing Home of causes incident to age.
She was born November 1, 1898 in Bear River City, a daughter of Willard Hans and Nellie Okason Anderson. She married Dewey A. Ramsdell, June 16, 1925 in Preston, Idaho. He died December 24, 1979. She was a life-long resident of Bear River City, except for a short time living in Park City and Tremonton. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and of the Blue Star Mothers.Mrs. Ramsdell was a member of the Box Elder Nursing Home Branch and past member of the Bear River 1st LDS Ward, serving in the past as a Relief Society visiting teacher, and in various other Church activities. She enjoyed her flower garden, especially the roses.
Survivors include six children and their spouses, Sally (Boyd) Munns, Garland; Dee Luke and Dixie Ramsdell, Bear River City; Ted LeRoy and Marlene Ramsdell, Salt Lake City; Richard "Dick" A. and Dorlyn Ramsdell, Garland; Karen and Frank Loo, Torrence, California; Michael and Joan Ramsdell, Farmington; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; one step-son, Jack D. Ramsdell, Carson City, Nevada. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters; Sterling Anderson, Kenard Anderson, Glenna Andersen, Clarice Slatter, all of Brigham City; Clair Anderson and Arvilla Holmgren, both of Bear River City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen, two brothers and four sisters, Justin, Norman, Sylvia, Millie, Edith and Valera.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 1991 at 12 noon in the Bear River Ward Chapel with Bishop Richard E. Nelson officiating. Friends may call at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 No. 1st East, Tremonton, Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10:15 to 11:45. Interment in the Bear River City Cemetery.
