Margaret Blanche Cox Black died April 15, 1991 at a nursing home in Blanding, Utah at age 98.
She was born November 17, 1892 in Huntington, Emery County, Utah to Elias and Mary Elvira Sherman Cox. She attended schools in Huntington and Castle Dale. She married Justin A. Black on January 9, 1918 in the Manti LDS Temple. They lived in Blanding, San Juan County, Utah. Blanche was a life-long member of the LDS Church where she served in the Primary organization, and also as a Relief Society visiting teacher for over 50 years.Survived by daughters, Ora Bloxham, Grace Krebs, Marilyn (Jack) Ehlers; sons, Sherman (Bernise) Black, Durant (Elaine) Black, and George (Glenna) Black; 26 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Black, Kanab. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, and a son who died as an infant.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. in the Blanding 5th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the San Juan Mortuary two hours before services. Burial will be in the Blanding Cemetery.
