Darren Lewis, a sixth-round draft choice of the Chicago Bears, tested positive for cocaine last winter and his future with the NFL team could be in trouble because of it.

Bill Tobin, the Bears' personnel director, learned Tuesday of the test results and said he wouldn't have considered Lewis if he had known earlier.Lewis, a Texas A&M halfback known for his rushing abilities, was the only player who tested positive for cocaine at the NFL's scouting evaluations in February. The league sent all test results to each team, but Tobin said he never saw the letter.
