A man wanted in connection with a Florida bank robbery was arrested Wednesday in American Fork.

Officers from the Utah Department of Corrections, Salt Lake County sheriff's office, Salt Lake City police and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations arrested Joseph M. Pinto Jr., who is wanted in connection with a Feb. 6 bank robbery in Marion County, Fla.Gregory Johns, believed to be Pinto's partner in the robbery, was arrested near the U.S.-Canada border and is being held in Washington state.

Pinto is being held in the Salt Lake County jail pending his transfer back to Florida after waiving a pretrial appearance in Utah.

An FBI press release said agents had information that the two men were planning to meet each other in Utah sometime on Thursday.
