A scientist on Greenland Ice Sheet Project II, a comprehensive study of the global pollution threat from fossil fuel emissions and volcanic dust, will lecture at the University of Utah, Thursday, May 5.

W.B. Lyons, director of the hydrology and hydrogeology program at the University of Nevada at Reno, will speak at 4 p.m. in 103 Engineering and Mines Classroom Building. His talk is part of the Distinguished Lecture Series sponsored by the department of geology and geophysics.
