Apple Computer Inc. has selected Salt Lake City as one of 15 cities to receive computer grants. Non-profit agencies receive computers through the new program.
Grants will be made to help improve services offered through the activities of social service, economic development, arts and environmental groups. United Way of the Great Salt Lake Area coordinates the program for Utah. Applicants for the grant do not have to receive United Way funds to qualify.Applications are available through the United Way, 455 E. 400 South. They must be returned by May 24 before 4:30 p.m.
All proposals will pass two national review cycles before recipients are selected in June. For more information, call Carolyn Workman, 328-0211.
