As country music promoters keep searching for small halls around town to house the acts that once
filled the Terrace Ball Room, Captain Nemo's (4020 S. Ninth East) has become a favorite roosting place. And on April 13, Moe Bandy will be there.
Bandy has been known as a honky-tonk singer most of his career, an easy-voiced former rodeo clown who croons about booze and lost love. His latest hit "Americana," however, has given his career some fresh pizazz.
More "mo" for Moe.
At the ACM Awards on television, for instance, the song drew a standing ovation from the audience.
Bandy's had more the 30 top-10 singles all told, including "I'll Be Too Old to Die Young," "Bandy the Rodeo Clown," "You Haven't Heard the Last of Me" and "Someday Soon."
Tickets are $10 in advance ($12 at the door) and are available at Country Joe's Records, All Smith'sTix outlets and KSOP Radio.
