The temperature is expected to drop approximately 30 degrees by Thursday as a storm moves into parts of Utah.
On Wednesday, temperatures were expected to reach highs near 70 degrees in the Provo, Salt Lake City and Ogden areas. But Wednesday night it will turn mostly cloudy with a good chance of showers or thundershowers and gusty, shifting winds.Thursday's weather will turn much colder, with periods of rain or snow. High temperatures will be near 50 but will drop to near 40 degrees during the day.
The chance of precipitation will increase to 50 percent Wednesday night and 80 percent Thursday, according to meteorologists at the Salt Lake office of the National Weather Service.
