Motorists should expect delays of 30-60 minutes on U.S. 6 in Price Canyon for the next three months because of construction, the Utah Department of Transportation said.

The delays occur from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.Crews are blasting and removing 125,000 cubic yards of dirt and rock to cut back a large slope to increase safety near the bottom of Price Canyon.

To eliminate the possibility of rocks and boulders injuring motorists, traffic must be stopped during blasting and removing, UDOT said.

Work will continue during nighttime hours, but it won't interfere with traffic.
