"Out for Justice" was in for money, as the action film starring Steven Seagal made $10.5 million in its debut weekend for the No. 1 spot at the box office.

"Out for Justice," the highest-opening film the ponytailed martial arts star has had, earned nearly twice as much as the No. 2 film, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze."Third-place "The Silence of the Lambs" earned $4.1 million over the weekend, making it the first 1991 release to pass the $100 million mark in total earnings.

Buoyed by its Oscars, "Dances With Wolves" held fourth place with ticket sales of $3.5 million.

"Home Alone" was in ninth place and about to slip off the charts.
