The Utah Valley Community College Symphonic Band will present a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Student Center Ballroom.
"We are programming music that will appeal to a broad variety of musical tastes," said Wayne Erickson, UVCC instructor and band conductor.The band will begin the concert with their rendition of Norman Dello Joio's "Satiric Dances" and will perform other numbers such as Holst's "First Suite in E-flat," William's "Midway March" and Lerner and Loewe's "My Fair Lady."
The college offers students a complete two-year curriculum for majors in any aspect of music. Courses include music theory, music history, conduction, private instruction and group piano.
