Weber State senior Lani Hunsaker won the women's singles title Sunday at the Big Sky Invitational championship in Pocatello. Hunsaker defeated Tracey King of Nevada 7-6, 6-2 in the semifinal round and went on to defeat Rebecca Smith of Idaho State 6-4, 0-6, 6-3 to capture the individual women's singles title.

In women's doubles action, Hunsaker and partner Roxann Engle were defeated by Smith and Alex Iasuda of Idaho State 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the championship match to take runner-up honors.In men's singles, both of Weber State's hopefuls were eliminated in closely fought three-set matches in the semifinal round. Tony Matkulak defeated Dermot Sweeney (WSU) 1-6, 7-6, 6-4 and Mike Tebbutt (NAU) defeated Henrik Eliasson (WSU) 6-1, 1-6, 7-6. Tebbutt went on to defeat Matkulak 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 to take the men's singles title.

In doubles, Tebbutt and Matt Meister (NAU) defeated Tarn Callis and Jim Cripe (MSU) 5-7,6-1,6-3 for the men's doubles title.
