Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Emerle L. Crosland, age 70, passed away April 14, 1991 following a short illness.
Born September 10, 1920 in Scipio, Utah to Alberta Memmott and Lawrence Crosland. He served a Texas-Louisiana Mission for the LDS Church. Served four years in the military service in the Pacific during World War II.He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Peterson Crosland; they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 19, 1946. Employed as a vice-president and trust officer at Zion's First National Bank for 40 years until he retired. Active in the LDS Church serving in ward bishopric and as executive secretary in the Grant Stake.
Survived by two daughters and four sons and their spouses, Robert L. and Carolyn Crosland Spackman, Raymond F. and Marie Crosland Stam, Paul B. and Jalayne Crosland, James R. and Shirley Crosland, Mark R. Crosland, and Gary E. Crosland; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Corbaley, Kennewick, Washington; and Irene Tomshack, Layton; three brothers, Max Crosland, Mesa, Arizona; Dale and Rigby Crosland, both of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services Thursday, April 18th, at 12 noon, Grant 4th Ward, 1111 East Charlton Avenue (2818 South). Friends may call Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m., at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward on Thursday, one hour prior to service. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
