Stan Gelbaugh threw four touchdown passes and Dana Brinson scored on a 93-yard kickoff return Saturday night as the London Monarchs beat the Montreal Machine 45-7.The victory, played in a 37-degree temperature at Wembley Stadium, increased the Monarchs record to 5-0. The Machine, who lost 44-0 last week to the New York-New Jersey Knights, dropped to 2-3.

Attendance was 35,294, just below the figure of 35,327 at London's last home game two weeks ago. The Monarchs drew 46,952 for their home opener.

The Monarchs' league-leading offense produced 444 total yards.

Gelbaugh, who finished with 17 completions in 29 attempts for 286 yards, connected with wide receiver Jon Horton on three of his four TD passes.

Galaxy 30, Skyhawks 28

In Frankfurt, Germany, Mike Perez' deflected pass to Cedric Gordon in the end zone with 17 seconds left gave the Frankfurt Galaxy a win over the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks, leaving the Skyhawks winless in the first five WLAF games.

Riders 22, Dragons 14

At San Antonio, quarterback Jason Garrett threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to his brother John to lead San Antonio Riders to a victory over the previously unbeaten Barcelona Dragons in the WLAF.

John Garrett made a diving catch, falling to the turf around the 10, but no one touched him, and he scrambled the rest of the way for a 20-14 lead.
