In the latest move to combat the growing number of smokers in Indonesia, especially among youth and women, warning labels will be required on all domestic and imported cigarette packages beginning next month.

Health Minister Adhyatma told reporters Thursday that as of early May all domestic and imported cigarette packages should carry warning labels reading: "Smoking Can Endanger Health.""The regulations have been made in order to curb the growing number of smokers, particularly among pregnant women and teenagers," Adhyatma said.
