A woman who died Monday after falling from the fourth floor of the State Capitol to the second-floor rotunda that morning has been identified as a Salt Lake mother of two.

The family of Susan Jessup contacted authorities Tuesday and made the identification, according to State Capitol Protective Services Lt. Clair Rasmussen.Authorities had asked for help finding the name of the victim, who carried no identification and gave them at least two different names.

Jessup was taken to LDS Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 45 minutes after the incident with head injuries and internal bleeding, according to a hospital spokesman.

Authorities are calling the death a suicide.
