The Utah Court of Appeals will hold court hearings next week at the 4th District Judicial Center. The court has held hearings in several locations throughout the state, but this will be the first time that appellate court proceedings have been held in Utah County.

Judge Gregory K. Orme will chair the session and will be joined by Judge Norman H. Jackson and Judge Russell W. Bench. All three were appointed by Gov. Norm Bangerter when the court was organized in 1987.The hearings will be held in the courtroom of 4th Circuit Judge Lynn W. Davis.

The court will hear four cases, a case involving the rape of a child, a real-estate-sale case involving property in Lindon, and two domestic-relations cases. The hearings are open to the public. However, because of the sensitive nature of some of the cases parents are advised not to bring children.
