Utah Medical Products Inc., 7043 S. 300 West, a company that manufactures and markets medical products used in critical care and infant delivery areas of hospitals, reports net income of $1.1 million in the first quarter of 1991 compared to $767,573 in the same period a year ago.

President Wm. Dean Wallace said earnings per share increased to 14 cents from 10 cents in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue increased 30 percent to $6.5 million from $5 million the first quarter of 1990."We are pleased with our achievement for the first quarter of 1991. Our forecasts were met and we are on target to meet our growth projections for the year," he said.

Wallace said the company has completed phase one on the expansion and remodeling of a building recently purchased and phase two will get under way soon. He said the company will introduce several new products later this year.
