Mary Magdeline Pruss Larsen, age 96, died April 11, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born January 16, 1895 in Canon City, Colorado to Joseph Martin Pruss and Mary Magdeline Pruss. Married Carl Christian Larsen on March 26, 1913 in Salt Lake City; he preceded her in death on April 10, 1970. Active member of the Catholic Church and member of 49'ers at St. Ambrose Church; member of St. Martha's Guild and Golden Club of St. Vincent's Church. She was fondly known to all as "Aunt Mary" and "Grandma Mary". She never said an unkind word about anyone and was always willing to help everyone. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to all.Survived by sons, Carl J. Larsen; Robert J. (wife, Maxine) Larsen; daughters, Mary Jean (husband, Roy) Honey; Lillian (husband, Grant) Cutler; all of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Justine "Ted", Buller, Ogden; and Helen (husband, Herschall) Halfhill, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by two great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass on Monday, April 15th, at 10:30 a.m., St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. Visitation for family and friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary on Sunday evening 6-8 p.m., with prayer vigil following visitation. Committal services will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
