Gladys Bell Wolfe Parker, age 94, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away April 10, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
She was born August 14, 1896 in Utan, Nebraska, one of six children, of Joseph Brownfield and Mary Emma Wilgus Wolfe. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society organizations. She worked full time at the Church Office Building for many years, and also served as a Salt Lake LDS Temple worker until she was well into her 80's. She was an avid genealogist, and always had time to help others. She participated for many years in the Foster Grandparent program for handicapped children, at the Hartvigsen School in the Granite School District. Her husband, Daniel Delroy Parker preceded her in death.She is survived by her children: son, Morris Wolfe Parker, Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Mrs. Wilford (Mary Louise) Lindman, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, April 15, 1991, in the Cottonwood 5th Ward, 6301 South 2300 East. Friends may call Sunday, 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Monday, at the church, one hour prior to the service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
