Freddie Carol Grunewald, age 55, died April 8, 1991, at his home of cancer.
He was born November 29, 1935, in Kenedy, Texas to Gladys Grunewald. He was reared in Kenedy, Texas and played football in Junior High and High School. He served in the U.S. Navy 1956-62. He worked for many years in the oilfield and was respected by all he worked with. He loved to square dance. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many positions--most recently as a Primary teacher.His friends will remember him as a big man with a big heart. He gave love to one and all, especially children and particularly those in his Primary classes, and this love was reciprocated by all who knew him. He was proud of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by: his wife, Delores; son, James Clinton and wife, Erna Grunewald, two grandchildren, Andrea and Travis, all of Roosevelt; ten brothers and sisters, all in Texas. He was preceded in death by a son, Orlynn Fred Grunewald.
Funeral services Friday, April 12, 1991, at 11 a.m., at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center, 447 East Lagoon. Friends may call at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary, Thursday, from 6-8 pm., and Friday, at the church, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Cedarview Cemetery.
