Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Donna Miller McDonough, passed away at her home on April 9, 1991.
Born April 1, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Austin Porter and Mary Jane Guest Miller. Married Jean W. McDonough on December 22, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from the University of Utah. Active in the LDS Church all her life and served in leadership positions in all of the auxiliaries, both on a ward and stake level. For many years she worked in the Primary General Offices of the Church. She served at the side of her husband as a proselyting missionary in Melbourne, Australia and on a stake mission. Served as a hostess on Temple Square for six years and recently as a hostess at the LDS Church Office Building. She was active in PTA and many community and charitable volunteer programs. She spent her life serving those she loved.Survived by her husband, Jean W. McDonough; and children, Kathleen Wilkins (husband, Ronald); Mark J. McDonough (wife, Dorothy); Bruce J. McDonough (wife Allyson); and Gregg M. McDonough; a brother, Harold G. (Hack) Miller; and 16 grandchildren; all of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Austin G. Miller; and Eldon G. Miller; and her daughter, Patrice.
Funeral services Saturday, April 13th, 12 noon, Highland View II Ward, 2980 South 2790 East. Friends may call Friday evening, 6-8:30 p.m., at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the Ward on Saturday, 10-11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Canyon Rim Citizens Association Memorial Fund.
