Authorities are asking the public to help identify a woman who died Monday after falling from the fourth floor of the State Capitol to the second-floor rotunda.

The woman carried no identification and gave authorities at least two different names, according to State Capitol Protective Services Lt. Clair Rasmussen.Rasmussen said she appeared to be about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and in her late 40s or early 50s. She had brown eyes and short curly brown hair and was wearing black slacks, a red warm-up jacket and light blue sneakers.

There were no witnesses to her fall from the fourth floor of the State Capitol shortly before 10 a.m. Monday. She was taken to LDS Hospital, where she died at 10:47 a.m., according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Rasmussen said anyone who has information about the identity of the woman should call the State Capitol Control Room, 538-1111.
