Brigham Young University will close or reserve several private parking lots during its 116th Commencement exercises on Thursday, April 25.
They include the lot north of the Administration Building (lot 1) and the two east rows of lot 16, west of the building, which will be closed until approximately 6 p.m.Four lots will be reserved exclusively for BYU employees, including the lots north and south of the Wilkinson Center (lots 3 and 4); lot 9, east of the Joseph Smith Building; and lot 14, north of the Smith Family Living Center.
Also, Harris Fine Art Center parking is severely reduced because of construction of a fine arts museum.
The BYU employee workday will end at 3 p.m. on April 25 to help clear traffic leaving campus, and UTA buses will not stop at the Marriott Center between 3:45 and 4:30 p.m.
Those attending April 26 convocations in the Provo LDS Tabernacle, 50 S. University Avenue, will not be allowed to park in the Provo Post Office parking lot. Colleges affected will be Physical and Mathematic Sciences, Physical Education, and J. Reuben Clark Law School.
