Mont Clarence Winters, 74, passed away peacefully April 7, 1991, in an Ogden hospital.
Born May 14, 1916, in Hoytsville, Utah to Clarence R. and Della Mills Winters. He married Shirley Brown on July 6, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mont was a carpenter (member of the Utah Carpenter's and Cement Mason's Union), a salesman, and most recently a mink rancher working at his son's mink ranch. He was active in the Summit County Sheriff's patrol for many years and was on the North Summit Wildlife Federation. Active in the LDS Church, Mont had many positions of service over the years, including a member of the Hoytsville bishopric, and superintendent of the Sunday School. Mont enjoyed the outdoors and especially his horses, and spent many hours with his loving family savoring these two pastimes.Survived by his wife Shirley, Hoytsville; two sons and two daughters, Larry LaMont (and Joy) Winters, Provo; Mrs. Dennis (Barbara Jean) Davidson, Burlington, Wyoming; Mrs. Alan (Nedra) Farrington, Orem; and Don Clarence (and Lori) Winters, Coalville; 18 grandchildren (the pride and joy of his life); and a sister, Mrs.Lyle (Helen) Boyer, Coalville,
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 11th, 12 noon, at the Hoytsville First Ward, Hoytsville, with Bishop Scott McMichael officiating. Friends may call at the Hoytsville Chapel Wednesday, from 7-8:30 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Hoytsville Cemetery.
