The fourth small earthquake in little more than a month hit Boulder City Wednesday, but officials said it was too small to measure.
No damage was reported in the small community southeast of Las Vegas or at nearby Hoover Dam.The temblor occurred shortly after 7 p.m., but Russ Needham of the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., said instruments there did not register a quake.
"If there was one, it was an extremely small one," he said. "Our instruments can register a quake in that area down to about 2.5 on the Richter scale.
Capt. Bob Thomas of the Boulder City Fire Department said he felt the quake.
"It was just a little shaker," he said. "I don't think there was any damage. Things just shook a little bit. It lasted for about a second or a second and a half."
