Utah authors, publishers and book sellers will be on hand for the first Books and Authors' Fair Sunday, May 5, in the University of Utah J. Willard Marriott Library.

The fair will be from 1 to 5 p.m. in the auditorium and second floor balcony. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.Among the authors who will autograph and discuss their books are: Brigham Madsen, "Glory Hunter: A Biography of Patrick Edward Connor"; Terry Tempest Williams, "Pieces of White Shell" and "Coyote Canyon"; Bill Smart, "Old Utah Trails"; Allan Kent Powell, "Splinters of a Nation: German Prisoners of War in Utah"; and David Bigler, "The Gold Rush Journal of Azariah Smith." Twenty authors are expected.

Out-of-print, hard-to-find and nearly new books will be offered at a used-book sale. Proceeds will go to the Utah Library Association Intellectual Freedom Fund.
