George M. Evankovich, age 71, my beloved husband, died April 7, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 27, 1919 in Butte, Montana to Marko F. and Annie Bukarize Evankovich. Married Mary Lou Sumersby in 1943 in California. Divorced in 1948. Married Betty Joyce Paffhausen Bowser on August 22, 1954 in Butte, Montana. George served in the U.S. Air Force for four and one half years in California, 1941-45. He worked for General Electric Company in Butte, Montana, starting at age 17 and worked for 46 years and nine months; then retired January 1, 1984. He has lived the last 15 years in Salt Lake City. George has bowled for many years, in the service, Butte, Montana and in Salt Lake. He was an avid golfer until two years ago when his illness prevented him from golfing.Survivors include, wife, Betty Joyce, Salt Lake; son, George Evankovich and wife, Eleanor, California; stepsons, Daniel Bowser and wife, Faye, California; Larry Bowser and wife, Terry, Anchorage, Alaska; stepdaughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Paff, Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Marc and Bill Evankovich; Mickey Dinsmore; Mindi Dinsmore; Larrisa Bowser; Lislie Bowser; Christy Cabrera; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Pete and Edna; Nick and Marg; Mitch and Helen; John; sister, Mary Sullivan, all Butte, Montana; brothers-in-law, Mickey Paffhausen and wife, Marilyn, Butte Montana; John Turner and wife, Lois, Emmett, Idaho; sister-in-law, Carol Evankovich, Washington; also numerous loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and three brothers.

There will be a public viewing Monday, April 8, 1991 at the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State St., Midvale, from 6-8 P.M. The funeral mass and burial will take place in Butte, Montana under the direction of the Duggan-Dolan Mortuary later in the week.
